Michelle Higgs

Michelle has an eye for detail and is a highly skilled editor and proof reader.

After graduating with a history degree, Michelle was a project assistant and copywriter in a marketing agency for eight years, while at the same time writing magazine articles on a freelance basis.

In 2002, she re-trained as a primary school teacher, teaching across Key Stage 1 and 2, with a particular interest in History, Literacy and the environment.

Since then, Michelle has combined writing with teaching at a children’s environmental centre.  Her writing has appeared in a number of publications including BBC History, The Times Educational Supplement, Period House and for the last seven years Michelle has contributed to the children’s magazine Aquila.  She is also the author of four history books for adults.
